Table Clock Cardo à Saint Nicolas

Belgian tableclock signed ‘Charles Cardo à St Nicolas ‘ ca 1825
Brass case with glass on both sides. The dial is signed by the maker and on the top there is little head with sun rays. Enamel dial with Roman numbers and nice finished ‘Breguet ‘ hands.
8-Day movement and striking train, which strikes the hours and half hours on a clear bell.
The handle above looks like traditional French Capucine clock.
Charles Franciscus Cardo 1802-1830 was the son of Petrus Jacobus Cardo,a silversmith, and lived and worked in St-Niklaas.
